The ASB MAGS Farm Experience Centre Development Project is a collaborative project across the Agri-food & Fibre sector, Mount Albert Grammar School (MAGS), Auckland Council, Auckland primary and secondary schools, the Auckland community and industry organisations like Young Farmers.
The project looks to leverage off existing assets and relationships in order to engage, inspire and attract Auckland based youth to careers in the Agri-food & Fibre industry, and provide a point of connection and engagement between urban and rural communities in order to assist with the building of a social licence for food and fibre production in New Zealand.
Establishing an Agri-food & Fibre global centre of excellence on the adjoining ASB MAGS farm, the project has 3 streams;
•an experience programme
•enhancement of the adjoining ASB MAGS farm and development of educational resources
•building of an Agri-food & Fibre Centre
